  44.   Browse DSS Database
  45.      Display selected SAP or RIP records stored      in the DSS database on this server. Use         this option to view selected SAP or RIP         records or to save the contents of the SAP      or RIP database to a text file. DSS must        be configured on this server in order to        use this option.
  46.  Display All DSSes
  47.      Display a list of all known DSS servers in
  48.      a specified NetWare/IP domain. Use this 
  49.      option to view the name, type, and status
  50.      of all DSS servers in a given NetWare/IP
  51.      domain.

  53.   Use this form to configure this host as a
  54.  NetWare/IP server or to modify the NetWare/IP
  55.  server configuration. This form  contains the

  59.      this server belongs. All NetWare/IP servers
  60.      and clients using the same primary DSS server
  61.      must belong to the same NetWare/IP domain.

  71.      NetWare/IP server.
  72.  Initial DSS Contact Retries
  73.      The number of times this NetWare/IP server
  74.      will retransmit an unacknowledged query to a
  75.      given DSS server at startup. The default is 1
  76.      in a range of 0 to 50.

  80.      The length of time in seconds this NetWare/IP
  81.      server will wait before retransmitting an

  84.      of 5 to 100 seconds.
  85.  Slow Link Customizations
  86.      Pressing <Enter> in this field displays the
  87.      Remote Access Via Slow Links form. You can use
  88.      the Remote Access Via Slow Links form to view,
  89.      add, or modify slow link customization values.

  92.   Forward IPX Information to DSS
  93.      Specifies whether this NetWare/IP server
  94.      should act as a forwarding gateway. A 
  95.      forwarding gateway connects IP and IPX network
  96.      segments. The default is no.

  99.   Use this form to specify the hostname, IP
  100.  address, or network IP address of up to five
  101.  DSS servers that are closest to this server.
  102.  The NetWare/IP server will attempt to register
  103.  with the DSS servers on this listing before
  104.  querying a DNS name server for a listing of
  105.  available DSS servers. This parameter is
  106.  optional.

  108.   Use this form to set up a NetWare server as a
  109.  primary DSS server and configure the global
  110.  parameters for a specified NetWare/IP domain.
  111.  You can also use this form to modify the
  112.  primary DSS server configuration. 
  113.  A single primary DSS server must be configured
  114.  per NetWare/IP domain for NetWare/IP to
  115.  function. Once configured, the primary DSS
  116.  server handles SAP/RIP requests and database
  117.  replication automatically. It is recommended
  118.  that a server that has relatively low
  119.  utilization be designated primary DSS server.

  124.      The fully qualified name of the

  130.      The fully qualified hostname of the             server you are configuring as the primary

  135.      The IPX external network number for your
  136.      NetWare/IP network. You can assign an

  139.      must be unique throughout your IPX
  140.      internetwork.

  226.  following fields:
  227.  UDP Port Number for NetWare/IP Service
  228.      The port numbers assigned for NetWare/IP
  229.      service. The configuration process assigns
  230.      two consecutive ports. The default is
  231.      43981 and 43982 in a range of 1 to 65535.
  232.      If either of the default port numbers is
  233.      already in use on your network, you must
  234.      assign an alternative series of ports.

  239.      This parameter specifies how often a

  243.      range of 1 to 60 minutes.
  244.  Primary-Secondary DSS Synchronization Interval
  245.      This parameter specifies how often
  246.      Secondary DSS servers in this NetWare/IP
  247.      domain query the primary DSS server for
  248.      updated information. The default is 5
  249.      minutes in a range of 1 to 240 minutes.

  252.  Maximum UDP Transmissions
  253.      This parameter specifies how often an
  254.      unacknowledged packet is resent before it
  255.      is dropped. The default is 3 times in a

  257.  UDP Checksum?
  258.      This parameter specifies whether
  259.      transmitted information should be checked 
  260.      for errors. The default is No, which
  261.      enables UDP to provide its fastest
  262.      transmission service.
  263.  Ticks between Nodes on the Same IP Subnet
  264.      The amount of time in ticks (1/18 second)
  265.      it takes a packet to travel one-way
  266.      between two nodes on the same IP subnet.

  284.  troubleshoot your NetWare/IP network.

  287.      Use this option to view SAP records stored       in the DSS database on this server. When         you select this option, the utility

  324.      When you select this option, the utility
  325.      prompts you for an IPX network number.

  336.  specific SAP type, select the SAP type from

  339.  for is not listed on this screen, select OTHER
  340.  TYPE from the list. The utility then prompts
  341.  for a SAP type.

  343.   Enter the SAP ID that corresponds to the
  344.  service for which you want to view SAP
  345.  records. A SAP ID is a two-byte integer
  346.  (in hex) that represents a specific service.

  411.      in this field is zero, the remote network
  412.      is a TCP/IP network. If the value in this
  413.      field is non-zero, the remote network is an
  414.      IPX network.

  417.   Number of Ticks

  424.      The DSS server to which the route was first      reported. The value in this field is

  428.      A code specifying information about the
  429.      RIP. This code is used internally by DSS.

  435.      The name of the server providing the

  486.   This screen displays a list of all known DSS
  487.  servers for a specified NetWare/IP domain. The   utility obtains this listing by querying the     DNS and DSS servers. 
  488.  For each DSS server entry, the utility displays  the name or IP address of the DSS server, the    DSS server type (primary or secondary), whether  or not the DSS server is registered with the     DNS name server, and the DSS server status       (active or inactive).
  489.  The information displayed on this screen may be
  490.  incomplete if any or all of the DSS or DNS 
  491.  servers are not responding.
